Content Marketing and PR – That Is How You Get Traffic To Your Website

Content marketing. What does it mean? It’s exactly what it sounds like, but with a little bit of creative thinking you can do a lot better than simply writing posts that are linked back to your website. We took a look at a few ways you can market yourself with content marketing and learned just how much more we can get from helping others publish great content and have traffic to our websites. Consistency, Efficiency, And Creativity
Businesses are busy. It can get tough to focus on keeping track of the backlog of work, especially since it can often feel like there’s a never-ending stream of information flooding into our inbox. But it is important to make time to create a content strategy to reach and maintain engagement with your audience. Too often we are procrastinating, staring at our phones to scroll through our feeds, or drowning in a sea of information only to find the content we need is not there. Content marketing is a great way to create consistency, efficiency, and creativity in your organization. Here are some ways you can give it your best shot this holiday season. Work For Content
Make a to-do list of all of the elements you will need to create the best content possible and then measure each of them. Has there been a significant growth in audience views, traffic, or clicks in the last month? Has your traffic been down? What are your top posts performing, and what are the most up-voted, discussed topics? One quick way to measure an improvement in traffic is through search visibility. If the number of Google searches you are showing increases by 50 percent, then so is your content. Setting your blog, social media, and online magazines and digests to do well at getting targeted traffic can create a ripple effect into the rest of your business, making an impact that goes far beyond what you posted. Creativity Can Give You A Competitive Edge
Get creative with your content and find what your target audience responds to and want. Focus on what is relevant to your audience and find a way to tie it to your brand. A case in point is that for Bravo Channel, they did away with their formal name-marking and simply put things like shirt sleeves and flag logos on everything. They have seen the results of a quick intro every once in a while with a catchy jingle on it and their show traffic has climbed by 25 percent. Their content also drives online orders to their website. If you are a new business, and producing a few different types of content, it can be difficult to find that ideal fit for your audience, and that can mean work that doesn’t make sense and can just get lost in the shuffle. Marketing with content is important because there is no limit to the amount of content you can produce, and that is something new businesses should focus on. With a simple strategy, you can quickly grow your business and provide a rich client experience. Going With The Flow
Have a plan to post new content, but make the work to do it enjoyable for you. Keep in mind that there are moments in your day when you just can’t get to the keyboard to write or go to the computer. Create a timer in your calendar. Put something on the agenda for that morning where you can put a short two-word dedication to work. The same thing goes for another task when you aren’t ready for it, so just go with the flow. On-the-Go Agencies Needed
Finding the information you need is not always easy, and new businesses need to be creative to stay on top of the trends. Even if you have built a website to provide visitors with the easiest ways to find you on Google, the growing volume of content on the internet makes it all the more important to have an on-the-go content strategy.Always remember to have content be published with your non-profit organization, nonprofit charity, or newspaper on the brain. Content should be localized and be posted in the places your target audience is most likely to find it. A Simple, Articulate Strategy
Remember that content marketing is all about building your brand through content that speaks to the needs of your audience. It should fit the environment in which it is served. Always strive to make your content unique and add a personal touch, just the way you would prefer to be remembered. For evidence of this, consider your last-ditch post and business decision. Without that twist of what could’ve been, you’d have a longer copy. Think about what your audience would want you to create, and when you would want it.
It’s very important to balance finding the right people to link to your content to create it to what your audience wants to see. Quality over quantity will create more content that relates to your audience’s needs and values. Because your organization doesn’t run a social media page with a recent tweet, is this content that’s going to reach your followers? Don’t let yourself be inhibited by current trends and reach the social media audience you want. Generate content that you and your subscribers want to read. Be sure to include insights about current events, current events driving the headlines, events that are buzzworthy, events that are upcoming.
Tell people why they should want to read your content. Don’t tease your prospects by sending out newsletters with news you wouldn’t have thought of. Show them why they should stop, read, and your content will give them plenty of reason to stop reading. If you have a social media page with a recent post that highlights an event or problem for the community, tell your readers what to do and how they can give it their attention.
We have a lot of content across the organization. If you are a nonprofit organization that focuses on water, posting on social media will be more appropriate. But even the nonprofit sector has blogs, online magazines, and websites, where “writing” can be effective. Share content with the right social media channels. Social media is like Google and content is like dollars. You want to share yours in the most-attractive manner possible.
Buy awesome content and promote it on your Facebookebook page. Share it with your followers on Instagram, and help it reach more people with your Website. Don’t forget the email inboxes. Telling potential customers how to purchase your content can drive their attention further into your organization.
Don’t write that much. Say no to assignments where you should have said no. Instead, take the time to think about how to present your ideas in an up-to-date way that your audience will appreciate. In simple terms, sell your ideas. But not like you do in a sales pitch. This isn’t marketing. Keep the details down. Give readers on your website a step-by-step guide that shows them what you’ve done and shows them how they can do it too. Another great thing to keep the details down is even if you have an email address, do you use it in your content? Review. With one more step of editing, your content will be better written, more memorable, and more likely to be found.
The best non-profit organizations have evolved over time in order to have the best content for their audience. Always remember your mission is your content and to prepare yourself for the next hour or two when you write content.
