In Fortnite, Chapter 2 gave players a brand new map to discover and explore, a big change from last season’s Games Without Borders map.
There’s plenty to learn about the map, from the fishing village to the grizzly bears and many wild creatures.
While Chapter 2 added fishing, tree fort and exploration to the game, it’s also the first “campaign” Fortnite.
The Battle Pass changes were announced last week, and the game is now giving players the option to choose what game mode to play.
A new clothing mode allows players to spend $10 on new outfits. The characters will have different faces, but players can dress them in outfits worn at a fashion show.
All new skins will require your Battle Pass, and all skin buffs are lost upon reaching the end of the season, giving players bonuses as they unlock them.
Extra XP is added to all clothing, and players can earn 100 ATK points every hour and 5,000 XP with XP drops.
The season 8 block discount is still in effect, which reduces the price of all cosmetics by 50%. These will also drop after completing 40 stories.
Players can buy premium textures with SCAM for 500 V-Bucks, and these can be added to chests.
The map is a brand new location that builds up slowly to reveal some of its secrets. As players progress, they’ll reach farming fields where they’ll purchase resources and seeds.
By the time players reach the fan made fishing village, the fishing has been started and the local lore has been told.
One of the most notable additions this season is the detailed, swirling water filled Battle Pass dance floor. Players that dance in this space can earn V-Bucks and 50 new battle stars.
To unlock them, players need to dance in the dance room after discovering a meteorite. There’s also a hidden secret hidden behind the map that suggests a meteorite is heading toward the Battle Royale island.
