While season 6 of Fortnite is still going strong, it seems that season 7 of the game is on its way soon. The 8.0 patch that Fortnite creators Epic Games released recently teased things will move up a gear for Epic’s shooter.

Even though all the players are celebrating and stuff after the update came out, nobody is more excited than Epic Games’ Fortnite Twitter account, which tweeted out a humorous yet unexpected special message.

The cute message said “season 7… is really on its way.” What caused the earthquake tremors? Apparently it’s a slow moving gust of wind from a storm system that’s about to hit the ground. If you look close, you can see a few pieces of mountain terrain.

So how will Epic Games’ Fortnite be affected once season 7 does come into play? It seems that fortresses will see a major change since players will no longer need to save their fort until they play until they move around. Instead, players can just build their fort wherever they want. They will also no longer be able to keep their fort by using their landowner for ammunition and equipment.

The last part of the update will see the inclusion of a new Valkyrie so Fortnite players can take some time to rest when they’re up to no good in the desert or the forest. This suggests that an event might be coming soon so it’s safe to say this update wasn’t a coincidence.

Epic Games teased that season 7 will take place on the Haunted Hills level, so stay tuned.
