We know that there are many iPhone and iPad users who are excited about the newest version of our operating system, iOS 13.0, and many of them are installing it today. As always, Apple encourages users to continue to use our support and download our software updates over the course of many days.

It seems like Fortnite is breaking its app update record by every passing day and while this is good for the game, it means that a majority of those players are doing something bad — downloading an update at an ungodly time.

Don’t update to iOS 13.0 if you play Fortnite or PUBG Mobile

If you are a Fortnite and PUBG Mobile fan, you have been experiencing server outages. To avoid getting pinged by server attempts while playing the games you might want to wait until iOS 13.0 is released next week to avoid major issues. As of this writing, iOS 12.1 is still available on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini 4.

When iPhone and iPad owners see the iOS 13.0 download prompt pop up on their devices, the first thing they should do is tap back. iOS 13.0 will most likely be available on iOS 12.1. Keep in mind that some big names will be launching big updates after iOS 13.0 is available — so if you’re an avid Call of Duty or FIFA player then you may want to wait until the PS4 and Xbox One launches of the biggest update. Otherwise, you could get stuck with a broken version of the game or stuck in a massive server outage.

A seemingly simple trick, click back once an update is implemented in your game and you should now have no problems logging on to the games — although please, please, please do not activate any saves or missions. If you notice that you are still having issues, you can hit down here and try refreshing the app in order to clear all the memory eating data you have accumulated, doing so will force the update to come through. If not, go back and wait until iOS 13.0 is released, but be prepared for a major day and night for the games. If you encounter server outages after iOS 13.0, don’t be surprised and contact Epic Games directly for an explanation.
