Epic Games has updated Fortnite: Battle Royale today with a new patch notes that shed more light on the recent changes. The biggest change is the addition of comet ash to the Battle Royale map. The map is brighter than usual now, so it should be obvious why this change is notable.

The comet ash, or aniseal, is the same type of ash that you’ll find in the other version of Battle Royale. You will also see new lighting effects in the style of the former loading screens.
