Recently, Blizzard Entertainment released the release schedule for the Overwatch League’s 10th season and it’s very, very good. All 64 regular season matches, along with an entire slate of playoffs, will be aired on NBC and Telemundo/Univision, directly under the eyes of fans and plenty of hype. Overwatch League fans will be ecstatic as the weeks play out towards the coveted season finale, but while there’s no telling which teams will be victorious, one thing is certain: viewers are going to want to know what events are going down.

The regular season will start on February 3, and will span 58 matches, across 11 different rounds. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be streamed live on the Overwatch League’s website, bringing fans up to speed as the playoffs and finals draw near. Then, on August 9, the first two winners of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 invite-only qualifying stage will play a top-two match to determine the winners of the coveted playoff bracket, with the winner facing the next champion who won the very first Call of Duty: World of Tanks contest. That match will be streamed live for all fans to watch.

The final round will feature three teams that have avoided elimination through the entire season, and have already qualified for the postseason. Those teams will be joined by one other team, as the first grand final will determine the series champion. Then, at 9 p.m. ET, the grand champion for Overwatch League Stage One will be crowned, while the rest of the teams will be on their way home to prepare for Stage Two.

Viewers can expect to see a lot of “meta” news play out throughout this year’s regular season. Everything from new maps, new heroes, and even change in composition will affect how the games are played. Fans can expect to see a lot of new faces and familiar faces in different contexts, however, as several franchises have trotted out multiple new heroes since the start of the season.

Overwatch League general manager Nate Nanzer is very excited to release this schedule for Overwatch League’s 2019 regular season, and the new playoff brackets will be even more exciting.

“The playoffs will play out as per the Map Presets for Season 9, but they’ll also be special, as the first two winners from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Invitational will be making their playoffs debut as they battle for the Stage One Championship,” Nanzer said. “We’re looking forward to watching some of the League’s greatest heroes throughout the season, as well as watching five of the best teams in the country face off and compete for the Stage One Championship.”
