Overwatch doesn’t stop there with its splashy additions and amazing balance balance changes. The game developers are also constantly experimenting with skins and sprays with fans providing input for the new characters and new skins. While some fans were quite skeptical of the logic behind the new Monster Sprays, players and developers alike have found some inspiration in Blizzard’s 2006 smash hit World of Warcraft.

The updated disguises allow the players to use the former Warcraft 3 buffs that remained permanently enabled after being disabled during World of Warcraft’s Battle for Azeroth expansion.

Players can earn the new class sprays by obtaining Sunken Ultimate Map Prestige in Competitive Play. If you have the Prestige-earned Sunken Ultimate Map, you will have to earn another Map Prestige in a game to unlock the secret sprays.

What is the secret sword of the Speaker?

Although Blizzard was interested in encouraging the variety and the contribution of the players, these new character costumes and sprays prove that the company is more interested in retaining the image of the game as a social experience. However, some fans might think the modifications of skins and sprays represent some lack of innovation, but honestly, it doesn’t come across as pure pandering to the fans.

The World of Warcraft concept is an extension of an extended community. StarCraft 2 kept the concept alive, while StarCraft 3 strives to once again redefine the experience and create a mass game around the concept of a social network. Now Overwatch is trying to further enhance players’ experience, but could some of these changes be a sign of the imminent future direction of the game?
