12 Things You Can Do After You’ve Published Your Last Blog Post

Much has changed since the day you published your last blog post. In fact, the world itself has changed! This is not the world you’d imagined back in 2009 when you wrote your first post.
So, here are 12 things you can do after you’ve published your last post:
Social Media
Writing a blog post used to be enough. Now, your social media game is to be reckoned with. The best way to gauge your game is to see how often your social media page is updated.
Don’t think if it’s because you have finished a new post. Go and have social media friends pop your question in a comment section.
You should be wondering about what they had to say. Get real life feedback from a friend or follower.
Review You’re Content Strategy
Do you have your content strategy down? Maybe you think you do. But it’s not as if you can stick to it or rely on it. Everyone evolves in their approach to content marketing. Sometimes you need to scrap it and start over.
Do you have a list of content pieces you’ve produced over the past few months? Analyze and review it. For example, if you’ve written about baseball, write a baseball blog. Perhaps you wrote about failure and vowed to learn from it. You may want to write another post on success. Take a look.
Analyze your blog site structure
Are you on a site layout with three or four tabs? Can you tell what your site navigation is based on this? If not, you could improve it.
You’ll need to re-map your site to feel more stable.
Use Analytics
The tools that help you improve your content marketing are all in your web analytics. To use them effectively, you should need to dive into them at least once a month to know how your readers are visiting you.
Depending on how much time you have, you should use at least several tools to gather insights.
Look for Quality Opportunities
The old saying goes, “It’s what you do with your opportunities that matters.” Is your content even receiving inbound traffic? Is it just that you see the clickthroughs, but never receive any?
How can you build better opportunities for traffic? Do you have a lead funnel?
Add a Keyword Changer
The web analytics can help you in understanding which keywords work the best for your posts and so on. But the biggest point is that you should implement a keyword changer to boost your content ranking.
Highly visible content can have a surge in traffic regardless of the type of traffic.
Self Promotion
Just as you market yourself, you should seek ways to self promote. You don’t have to create your own high-quality content. You should find ways to tie your last blog post into a webinar, podcast, or even more social media posts.
Promote your book
If you’ve written a book, there’s a good chance that it’s still out there waiting to be promoted. If you’re looking to capitalize on your last post post, the challenge will be to up your foot traffic.
You can do this with an appropriately targeted title, or even use free resources to create a project trailer. Remember to include your authorship information in the trailer so that your readers can find out your name and see your book.
Write for a large audience
People post large numbers of links for legitimate reason. Consider reposting links that are larger than your own.
