At CMW Atlanta, Ben Wofford and Jason Fried of Jason Fried and Co. talk about strategy, work and how they explain their work

At Content Marketing World in Atlanta, Percolate founder Ben Wofford joined blogging guru Jason Fried to discuss the most common questions that content marketers are asked about their work.
Wofford pointed out that the fear of being asked questions is a serious problem that affects about 70 percent of marketers. For this reason, The Percolate Machine for Google can transform questions into learning opportunities.
“How do you manage a team? What are your skills? What are your strengths?”
If you’re a content marketing team – or you suspect you’re on the way to becoming one – and have trouble answering these questions, you’re not alone.
“How do you manage a team? What are your skills? What are your strengths?”
There are many things to be happy about in your job – but answering those questions is not one of them. If your organization finds itself at a loss for advice on these questions, ask yourself what you want your company to look like after five years. Do you want to be in the top 25 percent of your industry in terms of the scale and depth of your expertise?
Fried responded: “We had 70 percent of that 70 percent of marketers who answered those questions the wrong way. They didn’t understand the question or what to do about it. I get those questions a lot, but they’re ultimately the same old ‘How do I handle the people part?’
We’re going to talk more about this at our future Content Marketing Academy: How to Solve the Questions.
