How to Get More Views on Your Page, Stand Out on Google and Post Industry-relevant Content to Increase Exposure

Content marketing and content syndication is increasingly on the list of key strategies to engage with your customers, grow your network and earn more competitive advantage in a highly saturated market. While it’s not a quick fix, there are certain actions businesses can take to increase their editorial traffic that don’t require expensive post-production and usually return results in six months or less. So, how do you get more views on your page, stand out on Google and post industry-relevant content to increase exposure? Here are some top practices to get started:
Consider how many times your page has been visited
Start by asking yourself how many times your page has been visited. Naturally, less can mean that your pages go under the radar while more visits indicates the potential need for content that resonates with a larger audience. Also, never underestimate the value of having a website that will pull content from other publishers since that’s when it’s most likely to be noticed. As you also know, search engines are looking for quality content since high-quality content results in higher rankings.
Just as impressive, more relevant content will typically result in the highest page ranks. So, increase your hits, position yourself on the top of the list and your pages will perform better.

Wait longer before creating new content
There’s nothing worse than pushing the publish button every other day, only to get some user response and not see positive metrics. You don’t want to put too much pressure on your sales team to produce constantly with no guarantees of positive results. It’s better to wait to get creative until you are satisfied with the results of your previous piece and when you find it’s a hit, write another one. This gives more time for your strategy to take shape. This doesn’t mean that you can’t be creative all of the time, but don’t over-reach until you feel like it’s actually working.

Give your reader a reason to stay
Creating valuable and entertaining content is the only way to earn impressions since it’s usually not the first thing that people look for in a search engine listing or their email inbox. Instead, give your reader a reason to stay on your page, which usually includes something related to the industry they’re interested in. For example, you could mention a current event in the industry that is pushing things in the direction you want them to move.
Increase your exposure to Google quality score
A lot of content that is relevant for you to produce is found on publishers’ websites without your input. You have no idea how many people visit these websites where content written without your input is used and it’s often the only source you will find of that content. So, get familiar with ranking factors so you’re prepared for the next time you will use them to promote your business. Since some of these factors have a lot of influence on how well your webpage does, it’s important to understand them.
It’s always a good idea to first run to a publisher’s website to check if they display your content and then add it to your post submission system.

Organize your blog entries
One way to become a publishing powerhouse is to organize your blog posts so you make sure that every page is producing a consistent brand experience. Learn which topics you write best and think about how you can merge different topic areas to produce content that’s more relevant to your audience. Lastly, it’s important to take advantage of the optimization tools available to your business to ensure that your blog posts perform well and you’re not using poor copy that can hurt your ranking.

Less is more in content marketing
Some content producers try to make every post as long as possible and not even consider the value of search visibility. They end up making lists with too many headlines with just a few key words or making too many lists with a specific target audience. A lot of times you can create great content, but it’s much harder to get people to find it in the first place, then simply “try hard.” Whether you have a smaller budget or a large one, start small and think about the audience you want to attract and create content that fits into their needs.
