Payment Management Startup Turns on Blockchain – Bamboo’s Payment System Follows Payment Technology Trends

HARI ALI
Corporate officials want to make sure their companies keep on pace with payment systems in emerging markets.
Payment tracking systems like Bamboo have defined how countries like India operate in the market.
One step closer to payment systems for the Internet of Things is here.
Companies that need to track payment volumes on a real-time basis may soon move to a blockchain-based system. Thanks to advances in payment processing and corporate initiative in emerging markets, the future is looking bright for the infrastructure industry.
Payment processing and cloud-based payment providers like Bamboo began to focus more and more on the payment processing side of the market. Bamboo was one of the first payment processing companies to use payment/marketing automation in its solutions to improve its customers’ online revenue.
According to Bamboo, the company works with many clients, such as local businesses, government institutions, universities, associations, and other organizations.
The Bamboo platform can track online transaction activity, payments made through Bamboo’s Bamboo Pay subsidiary and payments made online for paying bills and dues.
The company has developed a suite of services that includes Bamboo’s Bamboo Pay solution, Bamboo’s payments optimization and performance platform (PAYPRODUCT) with which the company provides the SAAS solution that helps businesses “manage the massive amount of incoming messages that customers send to their mailing list via email.”
Bamboo has also developed Bamboo POPOL, a method for online retailers to better organize payment and mailing lists and promote quality to their customers.
The payment processing solution provider also offers a unified payments system that provides extended service and support in the event of an issue or support. Besides, Bamboo is part of the 250-plus member Global Data Port Exchange (GDPX), a global consortium that enables corporate to maintain visibility of its financial processes and transactions globally.
Bamboo Chief Technology Officer Arshad Raza said it is now “still the easiest way for corporate teams to manage their online activity.”
The Bamboo platform, Raza said, is currently used in about 70 countries and all major currencies.
To further expand its services and client base, Bamboo is planning to adopt its cloud-based payment service platform Bamboo Payment to new clients.
Bamboo is also embarking on research and development to reach the bottom of the pyramid. This research work is aimed at improving Bamboo’s customer service quality.
Bamboo Executive Vice President Srinivas Mudathy said the company is exploring strategic partnerships with companies that can bring Bamboo’s payment/marketing automation technology to their customers in new markets.
“Another important area of opportunity is the IoT,” Mudathy said.
“With the money that has been invested in early adopters, there is need to make the IoT reliable, secure, and manageable in terms of performance. As of now, that requires a secure network solution and Bamboo is working on it.”
In order to maintain an edge in the market, Bamboo has joined forces with Agrion as an alternate payment provider to its own business. The deal has two major objectives:
Enhanced client-centric business with larger accounts and
Design benefits for businesses that will enable them to leverage the two payment providers’ strengths in monetizing their customers.
The cost effective and scalable Bamboo solution for companies should be able to cope with various payment management scenarios:
Fixed and variable payment
Business or brand payment
Delivery payment
