Who is Your Audience? Ask and Answer Questions to generate custom content

Q: How many types of content marketing does Your Marketing Department use in order to generate revenue?
A: There are basically two methods of creating custom content:
1. Produce content that is produced for specific purpose;
2. Produce content in a format that is used on the site or online;
3. Produce content that is used by the site or online to communicate with customers.
It really is a matter of the content that the website or online client is using, which is used to connect with customers.
How do you categorize these sources of content that are helpful to clients? For example, is it useful copy used to build brands, useful content that is created for a specific need, useful content created by a company for a specific use, or helpful content that is created by another organization?
When you create content of your website for a specific use, you need to provide it with a specific identifier. How do you categorize this need?
Since we are in 2018, social media, using photo galleries and video galleries, is a more suitable format for creating content in comparison to proprietary content. This, by definition, does not need a specific identifier.
If a company uses a specific identification of purpose and a specific identifier, it can find out an organogram of how many to produce for different levels of need, based on existing organic traffic that is created and captured. Also, the number and type of articles is not impacted by the type of content that is used.
In the articles category, today you can include common articles that can be done across categories. For example, a hotel could use a number of articles for various purposes, by new user introduction, blog articles, book reviews, in-depth in-depth sections, etc. etc. In each case, on the hotel website, it would need different content as it stands for each use.
When creating custom content for a specific client, you can find out if there is a need for the information, needed to inform and educate users, while collaborating with the client team to produce something aligned with its need. You need to be flexible to be able to offer an appropriate quality of output based on the needs of the client.
Q: How do you categorize the type of use you receive for this type of content?
A: In my experience, custom content for what someone calls a “spontaneous” need is unique and therefore, you may not know what your content will need, unless your business is already positioned in the niche or community. For example, if you are for example a healthcare organization, could be posting information or supporting content to educate users on their conditions.
However, if you have an online pharmacy, you may be providing education to consumers on the risks associated with purchasing prescription drugs,
allowing them to learn how to protect themselves. This type of content could also be helpful in providing reviews on the companies websites.
This type of content generally does not require any specific identification as you are creating for a general audience. In such cases, it is helpful to provide it with an identifier so that it can find an appropriate use that will engage the people that it serves.
For example, this type of content can be used to increase traffic for the site. Such promotion may include converting visits to sales, by providing useful information to readers.
Simply giving this type of content to someone on behalf of a website that competes with it or lacks the industry expertise, could result in a negative reaction if a potential customer doesn’t know what to think.
By being creative with your content creation and targeted content, you can offer a personalized offer that your target audience will find valuable and appreciate.
